Baseball: Sun Valley Poly unveils junior left-hander Danny Pimienta

It’s not going to be any fun in the East Valley League this season for baseball teams that have to face Sun Valley Poly junior left-hander Danny Pimienta.
Throwing strikes and throwing with good velocity, Pimienta threw a two-hitter on Friday in Poly’s 2-1 win over Granada Hills Kennedy.
He struck out eight and walked one.
Taft defeated Monroe, 13-1, in five innings. Alex Davis threw a complete game. Mario Cortez had three hits.
