Basketball: State championship schedule changed to Thursday and Saturday in 2016

Because Good Friday falls in the middle of the CIF state championships in basketball next year, the CIF will hold games on Thursday and Saturday, March 24 and March 26, at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
Usually the games are played on consecutive nights, Friday and Saturday.
That’s an extra day for media and section officials from around the state to spend an off day in Sacramento.
