Beach volleyball: Local duos fall in opening matches at Youth Olympics

T.J. DeFalco of Huntington Beach and Louis Richard of Redondo, representing the United States, were beaten in their opening beach volleyball match on Sunday at the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, losing 21-14 and 22-20.
The team of Zana Muno from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and Skylar Caputo of Mira Cost also was beaten, 21-18, 21-11, in their pening match.
Competitors are in pool play.
