Boys’ basketball: Milan Acquaah leads Cathedral past Price

Looking for a signature win against a top 10 team, Cathedral finally got one on Saturday night, opening a 19-point lead before prevailing over Price, 79-69, at Price.

Milan Acquaah scored 31 points and Leandro Amador added 24 points. Cathedral (13-3) played without Kobe Paras, who is nursing a sprained ankle.

Corona Centennial received 25 points from Jordan Griffin and 23 from Sedrick Barefield in a 103-68 win over Maranatha.

St. John Bosco knocked off Windward, 80-67. Vance Jackson scored 23 points and Rodney Henderson had 21 points.

Conner Longmire led Calabasas to a 56-48 win over El Camino Real. Longmire finished with 24 points. Marcel Addy had 14 for El Camino Real.

Redondo rallied to pull out a 58-57 win over Foothills Christian. Morgan Means scored 20 points.

Alemany defeated Mayfair, 62-50. Daron Henson had 14 points and Shacquille Dawkins and Kevin Summers added 13 apiece. Kendall Small led Mayfair with 20 points.

Gardena Serra defeated Oak Park, 60-48. Freshman Riley Battin had 21 points for Oak Park. Jason Richardson led Serra with 23 points.

Dorsey defeated Norco, 70-63. Tommy Groce had 16 points and Jon Staggers had 15 points.

Buckley defeated Sylmar, 74-66. Kihel Clark had 30 points. Pasadena Poly defeated Flintridge Prep, 67-60. Andrew Tsangeos had 26 points. San Marino defeated El Modena, 47-43. Brian Low finished with 22 points.

In Missouri, Chino Hills took fifth place in the Bass tournament with an 86-73 win over Arkansas Bentonville. Li’Angelo Ball had 41 points and Lonzo Ball added 17 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. Malik Monk scored 50 points for Bentonville.
