Babacar Thiombane, a 6-foot-7 senior center at Fairfax, said Tuesday he has committed to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
“It’s a school I want to be at,” he said.
Thiombane is an outstanding defensive player and rebounder. He was born in the United States but grew up in Senegal.
He visited the campus last week and spent time with former Fairfax player Pierson Ro.
He’s the second Fairfax player to make a college commitment. Donald Gipson announced he would attend Loyola Marrymount.
Corona Centennial guard Jordan Griffin has committed to Long Beach State.
