Boys’ basketball: Beverly Hills shows its free-throw expertise
- Share via
Jarvis Turner, the basketball coach at Beverly Hills, could be much in demand if his team keeps making free throws like it did on Friday night against Santa Monica.
In a 67-55 victory, the Normans made 25 of 26 free throws.
“We had tremendous focus,” Turner said.
The Normans are 14-5 and 3-0 in the Ocean League going into a first-place showdown with Lawndale on Monday night. The game was canceled on Wednesday because of a bomb threat earlier at Beverly Hills.
Turner said he’s willing to take on the role of free-throw guru.
“Sign me up,” he said.
