Boys’ basketball: Calabasas, Redondo tournaments begin on Monday

Calabasas High is hosting a basketball tournament beginning Monday in honor of former assistant coach Joseph Frazier.
Monday’s opening schedule: Royal vs. Agoura, 3:30 pm.; Shalhevet vs. Viewpoint, 5 p.m.; Newbury Park vs. Moorpark, 6:30 p.m.; North Hollywood vs. Malibu, 8 p.m.
On Tuesday, it’s Chaminade vs. Royal, 3:30 p.m.; Shalhevet vs. Beverly Hills, 5 p.m.; Harvard-Westlake vs. Newbury Park, 6:30 p.m.; Calabasas vs. North Hollywood, 8 p.m.
The Redondo tournament also begins on Monday at Redondo High.
The schedule: Oak Park vs. Rancho Christian, 3 p.m.; Compton vs. El Camino Real, 3:30 p.m.; Westchester vs. Lynwood, 4:30 p.m.; Inglewood vs. Hart, 5 p.m.; Eastvale Roosevelt vs. Narbonne, 6 p.m.; Redondo vs. Mayfair, 6:30 P.M.; Long Beach Poly vs. Campbell Hall, 7:30 p.m.; Crespi vs. Peninsula, 8 p.m.
Of note, Crespi’s De’Anthony Melton needs seven points to become the seventh Celt to reach 1,000 points in his career.
