Boys’ basketball: Lonzo Ball scores 43 points in Fairfax tournament win

With brother LiAngelo Ball still a few weeks away from coming back after a broken foot, older brother Lonzo Ball is doing anything and everything for Chino Hills. On Monday night, the UCLA commit scored 45 points in the Fairfax tournament. On Wednesday night, he scored 43 points in an 87-75 victory over Lawndale.
Chno Hills will play Sierra Canyon in Friday’s 6 p.m. semifinal. Sierra Canyon defeated Orange Lutheran, 82-67. The game was tied at halftime. Cody Riley scored 24 points.
Thursday’s quarterfinals will have Mater Dei playing Alemany at 6 p.m. and Fairfax taking on Corona Centennial at 7:30 p.m.
