“At All Costs: Life Inside AAU Basketball,” a film focusing on former Orange Lutheran standout Gabe York, former Loyola standout Parker Jackson-Cartwright and the Compton Magic, has its premiere on Sunday at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
The film “explores the shifting nature of ‘amateurism’ within the modern basketball landscape and demonstrates how youth basketball has been professionalized in America,” according to the film’s director, Mike Nicoll.
It will be shown at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Triangle Cinemas (1870 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa).
