Florida proposal could create ‘free agency’ in prep sports

“Free agency” could be coming in high school sports in Florida. And the Florida Athletic Association could be soon extinct.
That’s what could happen if a proposal passes the Florida legislature.
Florida’s House Education Committee is considering a proposal to strip the athletic association of most of its power, according to the Miami Herald.
And that would allow transferring for athletic reasons without penalty.
