Football: Corona Centennial is on the verge of a new turf field for 2016 season
- Share via
If the Corona-Norco School District gives final approval on Tuesday, Corona Centennial will be getting a new all-weather turf football field for this season.
Assistant Principal Bill Gunn said the school has been working on a proposal for several weeks and is waiting for approval. Its current all-weather turf field is due for replacement.
There’s two possible time frames for replacing the field this year. Those are in early August or in October when the Huskies play three consecutive road games. It should take about three weeks to put in the turf.
Either way, Centennial would have to practice away from the stadium when the turf is put in.
