Football: Narbonne wins Buena Park passing tournament

There’s no doubt that defending City Section Division I football champion Narbonne is loaded with top skill-position players, and the Gauchos showed off plenty on Saturday in winning the Buena Park passing tournament championship.
Narbonne defeated Cathedral in the championship game, knocked off Gardena Serra in the semifinals and defeated Dorsey in the quarterfinals.
Narbonne was alternating quarterbacks Roman Ale and Jaylen Chatman, a sophomore. Devaughn Cooper was tough to stop at receiver, along with Tre Walker.
The Gauchos’ linebacking corp was outstanding, according to Coach Manuel Douglas. Sophomores Raymond Scott and Darien Butler led the way.
Cathedral quarterback Andrew Tovar was effective passing the ball to Renard Bell and Kaylen Williams.
