Football: Nine-part series previewing top players begins

Who will be the players to watch in Southern California for the 2016 football season?

Over the next nine days, I’ll be giving you a look at coaches’ recommendations on top players by position, along with a profile of a top player.

It starts on Wednesday with a look at quarterbacks. The profile is on Newbury Park junior quarterback Cameron Rising, an Oklahoma commit who had one interception all last season as a sophomore.
