Garfield QB Henry Polanco has memorable middle name _ Adambomb

How rare is it for a quarterback to have as his middle name Adambomb?

Henry Polanco, a junior quarterback at Garfield, can thank his father and the punk rock band, Social Distortion.

His father gave him the middle name Adambomb after one of Social Distortion’s songs.

Now the band has become a favorite of the son, who also goes by Adam.

Polanco is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks in the City Section. As a sophomore, he passed for 1,139 yards and 15 touchdowns.

“He’s improved tremendously,” Coach Lorenzo Hernandez said.

So if Adambomb is listening to music before games, you can always count on what song it is.
