San Clemente, Tesoro conducting ‘Socks for Heroes’ project
- Share via
This is the week San Clemente and Tesoro join together for “Socks for Heroes.”
In honor of Donald Hogan, a former Tesoro student and Marine who died in 2009 trying to protect his fellow Marines, the two schools will be holding their third annual socks drive to benefit Americans still fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Middle East.
The goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of black or brown cotton crew socks to be sent to Marine and Army units. The winner of the drive will be announced at Friday’s San Clemente-Tesoro football game.
