The California Coaches Assn. has selected its spring coaches of the year in the Southern Section.
Baseball: Will Aaron of Gardena Serra. Boys’ golf: Tim Devaney of Sunny Hills. Boys’ swimming: Steve Yancey of Capistrano Valley. Boys’ tennis: John Kessler of Irvine University. Boys’ track: Lori Smith-Thompson, Serra. Boys’ volleyball: Craig Pazanti, Huntington Beach.
Girls’ swimming: Deanna Ayers-Orcutt, Academy Charter School. Girls’ track: Bob Leetch, Redondo. Softball: Sharon Farrell, Yorba Linda.
Rookie coach: Melwin Pereira, San Marino tennis.
