Known for running the 400 meters, Michael Norman of Vista Murrieta isn’t too slow running 100 meters, either.
Norman turned on the speed in winning the 100 in 10.27 seconds on Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays at Cerritos College. That’s the fastest in California this season and close to the state record of 10.25 set by Henry Thomas of Hawthorne in 1985.
Lauren Rain Williams of Oaks Christian won the girls’ 200 in 23.07. Zaria Francis of Rio Mesa won the 100 in 11.50.
Esperanza junior Bronson Osborn had an extraordinary double win in the discus at 204-04 and the shotput at 71-07.25.
Here’s complete results.
