Paxton Lynch and No.18 Memphis outscore Tulsa, 66-42, for 14th straight win

Paxton Lynch completed 32 of 44 passes for a career-high 447 yards with four touchdowns to help No. 18 Memphis win its 14th consecutive game, 66-42 over Tulsa on Friday night in Tulsa, Okla.

Lynch has thrown for more than 300 yards in each of his last six games for Memphis (7-0, 3-0 American Athletic Conference).

The Tigers have gone more than a year since their last loss, against Houston. The winning streak is the third longest in the country behind No. 1 Ohio State (20 games) and No. 4 Texas Christian (15 games).

Dane Evans was 24 for 36 passing for 421 yards and four touchdowns for the Golden Hurricane (3-4, 0-3). Keyarris Garrett had 14 catches for a career-high 268 yards and three touchdowns.

Both teams are in the top 10 nationally in total offense, and they combined for 1,248 yards of offense in a wild, back-and-forth game.

Penn beats Yale

Alek Torgersen threw for 350 yards and a career-high four touchdowns, and Pennsylvania forced four turnovers in a 34-20 victory over Yale in an Ivy League game at Philadelphia.

Tre Solomon rushed for a career-high 116 yards and had two touchdowns for the Quakers (3-3, 2-1 in league play). Christian Pearson had six receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Morgan Roberts passed for 318 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions for Yale (4-2, 1-2).

Chubb has surgery

Georgia running back Nick Chubb underwent surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee suffered two weeks ago against Tennessee. The school did not offer a timetable for his recovery, but Coach Mark Richt said he was “optimistic” the sophomore will return next season.
