Rapper 50 Cent returns to NASCAR as Swan Racing team sponsor

Rapper 50 Cent, who caused a minor sensation at last year’s Daytona 500 with his awkward attempt to kiss Fox reporter Erin Andrews, is back with NASCAR in a more conventional way.
Swan Racing, a team that fields two cars in NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup Series, said Tuesday that it has a new associate sponsor in SMS Audio, a maker of headphones and other audio gear owned by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson III.
The team, whose drivers are Cole Whitt and Parker Kligerman, is “as passionate for the sport of racing as we are for our audio products,” 50 Cent said in a statement.
Before last year’s Daytona 500, Andrews was on pit road at Florida’s Daytona International Speedway searching for Danica Patrick when she ran into 50 Cent. His failed attempt to give her a smooch naturally ended up on YouTube.com and has received nearly 10 million views.
This year’s Daytona 500, which kicks off the Cup season, is Feb. 23.
