Adrian Peterson criticizes media after report of past allegations

Embattled Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson took to Twitter on Monday night, where he fired back at the media after a report of his off-field exploits was released earlier in the day.
Peterson, who is currently suspended from the team while he faces charges of child abuse, criticized the media on Twitter hours after the Minneapolis Star Tribune published an article titled: “Behind Peterson’s perfect image lay an imperfect human being.”
Around 9:30 p.m. PDT, Peterson tweeted, “It’s SAD how people these days will believe anything reported by media sources that don’t take the time to be GREAT!!!”
He quickly followed with: “Just in general!”
The Tribune report includes past rape allegations and misuse of funds from his charity, “All Day.”
Peterson is due in court Wednesday for his arraignment on child abuse charges in Texas.
