Poll: Super Bowl XLIX: Who do you think will win the big game?
New England plays the defending champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night in Super Bowl XLIX. And before the first (deflated) ball is kicked off and the final (silent) postgame press conference is "heard," our experts give their predictions, and you have the deciding vote.
Bill Plaschke's pick: PATRIOTS 14.5, SEAHAWKS 12.5
Sunday's game at University of Phoenix Stadium will be stolen by the most calculating, corner-cutting, coldblooded villains to come out of Boston since that city's Olympic organizing committee.
Sam Farmer's pick: SEAHAWKS 28, PATRIOTS 23
The Seahawks should be able to run on New England, and if they can get about 200 yards passing and maybe a couple of touchdowns — and no turnovers — from Wilson, they’ll be in good shape. New England will nickel-and-dime with its passing game, and the key for Seattle is to make sure those drives end in field goals, not touchdowns.
