The sports world lost an icon Tuesday morning.
Legendary Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt passed away at the age of 64 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Summitt spent 38 years as the Lady Vols’ basketball coach, accumulating 1,098 wins, more than any other collegiate basketball coach, man or woman. She led the team to eight NCAA national championships.
Summitt influenced former players, colleagues and those who simply watched her dominate the game.
