Andrew Vorhees, an offensive lineman from Kingsburg High, announced his commitment Friday to USC’s 2017 recruiting class.
“Thankful for the many opportunities that have been opened for me throughout the process and I can’t even begin to express the amount of gratitude I have for each and every individual that has helped me become who I am today,” Vorhees wrote on Twitter.
Vorhees is the second offensive lineman to commit to the Trojans this week. Brett Neilon from Santa Margarita committed on Wednesday.
Vorhees, 6 feet 6 and 290 pounds, chose USC among offers from Arizona State, Boston College, California, Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Vanderbilt.
Eight players have committed to USC: Receivers Marlon Williams and Randal Grimes, running back Stephen Carr, linebackers Juliano Falaniko and Daniel Green and safety Bubba Bolden.
Recruits can sign a letter of intent on Feb. 1.
