The City Council and Planning Commission will discuss downtown Laguna’s retail and commercial climate with urban planning firm MIG at a meeting Dec. 3 at City Hall.
City leaders will also analyze the existing conditional use permit process and whether changes are needed as part of Laguna Beach’s update of its downtown specific plan, which provides a blueprint and guide for planning and development.
MIG will provide a review of related policies within the existing downtown specific plan, an overview of its research and preliminary recommendations.
Additional meetings will be held during the winter and spring to review other topics, including parking, urban design and land use.
The Dec. 3 meeting is from 6 to 9 p.m. at 505 Forest Ave. For more information, contact planner Wendy Jung at (949) 497-0321 or [email protected].
