Free Surf City shuttle service begins Friday

Huntington Beach residents and visitors will have another form of transportation beginning Friday when the complimentary Surf City USA Shuttle launches.

The service, which runs through Sept. 4, offers free rides to and from places like the Huntington Beach Pier, Bella Terra, Pacific City, Main Street and the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.

Shuttles — provided by Visit Huntington Beach, the city of Huntington Beach and Transportation Concepts, a public transportation company — will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

It will also be available during the Fourth of July and U.S. Open of Surfing.

A complete schedule and list of pickup and drop-off locations, as well as a live GPS feed of the vehicle, is available on surfcityusashuttle.com.
