The graceful Napa B&B Cedar Gables Inn is hosting a gingerbread house contest. Build your own and compete for the $1,000 top prize or just stop in on a Saturday in December to view the houses.

When, where: Public viewings are noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 1, 8 and 15 at Cedar Gables Inn, 486 Coombs St.

Cost: Free.
