28th annual Pan-Pacific Festival-Matsuri in Hawaii

During the an-Pacific Festival-Matsuri in Hawaii, Waikiki closes its main drag, Kalakaua Avenue, for a weekend street party that features hula, traditional Japanese dance and taiko drummers. A hula festival, a parade and the Ground Golf Hawaiian Open (popular in Japan, the game is like croquet) are among other festival highlights.
When, where: June 8 to 10 at locations in Honolulu on Oahu
