Your Scene: Vatican Museums
This impressive staircase resides in one of the world’s grandest complexes of museums and galleries -- the Vatican Museums. Times reader “reza_239” captured this scene.
The museums grew out of the art collection of Pope Julius II, pontiff from 1503 to 1513, and expanded with the patronage of successive popes. The museums and galleries include Egyptian artifacts, modern art and the Sistine Chapel.
Note: After Thursday, “Your Scene” will become a weekly feature that will appear on this blog on Sundays. Readers can, however, continue to share their images at any time. We will also continue to update our collection of featured reader images.
