Reporting from Las Vegas — Comedian Tim Allen is set to return to the Mirage on Friday, Nov. 6, for one last show for the year.
The actor has been a regular on the ABC sitcom “Last Man Standing” since 2011 and was the star of the long-running ABC series “Home Improvement.”
Allen got his start on a dare from friends while living outside of Detroit, when he performed at an open-mic night at a comedy club. He went on to become a regular at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
He rose to stardom as Tim “The Toolman” Taylor on “Home Improvement” from 1991 to 1999. During one week in November 1994, Allen had a New York Times bestseller in “Don’t Stand Too Close to a Naked Man,” was starring in the movie “The Santa Clause” and appearing on his television show.
His other film credits include the “Toy Story” series, in which he’s the voice of Buzz Lightyear, “Galaxy Quest” and “Wild Hogs,” among others.
He made his directing debut with “Crazy on the Outside,” which reunited him with former costars such as Sigourney Weaver from “Galaxy Quest,” Ray Liotta from “Wild Hogs,” Kelsey Grammer from “Toy Story 2” and Julie Bowen from “Joe Somebody.”
Tickets start at $59.99 and go on sale on Friday, Aug. 21.
